Carrie Belle Worrell, 77, of Goldsboro departed this walk of life Monday, April 8, 2024 at UNC Health Wayne in Goldsboro.
Funeral service will be held Sunday, April 14, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro. Burial will follow at Golden Gate Cemetery in Pikeville. Viewing will be held prior to the service from noon until 12:45 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Worrell was born in Greene County to the late AJ and Mattie Carmon Pridgen on March 24, 1947. She was a member of Lovicks Chapel AME Zion Church.
Cherishing her memories are her daughter, Letisha Worrell of Goldsboro; four sisters, Mattie P. Suggs, Susan Jackson (Dellson), Donna Pridgen (Leon), and Alma Davis (Daniel) all of Goldsboro; her sisters-in-laws, Annie Pridgen of Virginia, Nettie Lewis and Beatrice Battle both of Goldsboro; her brothers-in-law, George Worrell of LaGrange and Freddie Worrell (Shirley) of Dudley; four grandchildren, De'Andre Worrell, Stephen Worrell Jr., Courtney Blizzard and Jazmyne Rouse; her Aunt Wilhelmia Edwards of Hill Side, NJ; her beloved cat, 8 Ball and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, JC Worrell; her son, Stephen Worrell; her brothers, Richard Pridgen, Charles Pridgen and Ivory Pridgen and her sisters, Dottie Pridgen and Sheryl Pridgen.
